A History of Orthotic and Prosthetic Care

In 1976, we opened our doors as Johnstown Artificial Limb and Bracing Company. Thanks to our founders, John Roberts, Sr. and his son, Charles E. Roberts, we have been able to serve you for many years. John Roberts, Jr. joined their partnership in 1983, adding to the growth of the company.

By this time, we had a second facility in DuBois, and in 1986, we opened a third location in Altoona. At the beginning of 2000, John Roberts, Jr. formed John Roberts Enterprises, Inc. and began doing business as Allegheny Orthotics & Prosthetics at our Altoona and DuBois offices. The need for a third location arose in order to better accommodate our patients which resulted in the opening of our State College location in January 2003.

We've provided orthotic and prosthetic care to countless patients over the years and helped them navigate their lives comfortably and confidently.
